Ok so I just got my bloodwork results for CRP and ESR... no one ever tested these on me before!! My CRP was around 122 and my ESR was 22!! A definite marker of inflammation thank goodness!!

So... since every CT scan showed inflammation in the sigmoid colon, I wake up at night for bm's, have fevers during the entire duration of a flare (usually for 2 weeks!), my inflammation markers are high, I've been having all the symptoms of IBD for 8-9 months now, and my Prometheus IBD serology came back positive of ASCA/IgA (actually it was severely elevated at a 135.4) which is "consistant with moderate Crohn's Disease... could this possibly FINALLY be enough evidence to be officially diagnosed??!

I am trying not to psyche myself out, however I am at least hoping to finally be moved out of the standard "IBS" category (I have had every test under the sun!) :) what do u guys think?! I am hopeful this will really get the medicine ball rolling!!

Peanutt, I sure hope that these new results get you closer to a full diagnosis and feeling better very soon.

Hi Peanutt,
Your results could be indicative of IBD and hopefully you will soon receive
the appropriate care.
Feel better soon

Hi Peanuttt,

Hope it gets you a diagnosis! Thats a pretty high CRP...think the highest mine has been is 69! x

I am at least hoping its enough to move me out of the "IBS. W/ suspected IBD" category!1 its so unfair how they can give us a WRONG diagnosis like that!

Wishing you all the best and a wonderful holiday!! :)
