had a few days in hospital for 'gut rest' and have been bumped to the very top of the colonoscopy list.. so will have it this week they reckon. Amazing how differently I was treated just because I have 'proof' that there is something wrong now! ah well.. the wheel is moving..

Yea, it can take a while to get on the wheel, but I'm glad you have and you should get sorted now. What did the gut rest involve?

I cannot believe how differently i was treated! Maybe it was just a fluke but I reckon it's because of the CT results.. they even said if I wanted to stay in on bowel rest i could or go home.. my choice! I came home because if I'm having the colonoscopy this week then I really need to have a normal diet beforehand so they can see what's going on yeah??

Interesting that you felt you were treated differently - once they think you're not making it up.

Why is this dismissiveness such a common experience for people with CD?
It's odd that in a profession that combines empirical evidence with patient self reporting - there are so many that fail so abjectly at the listening skills element of their job.

Anyway - yeh Leebie - give 'em something to look at!!

just an update.. colonoscopy is booked for next monday :-s nervous and anxious now.. terrified it won't show anything and worried it will lol
