How do I find a Doctor in Orlando

Hello all,

I'm graduating college and relocating to Orlando FL in June. I need to find a new GI there and I am having difficulty. There are no major university hospitals there. My current GI is at University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and I asked him but he says he only knows GIs in Miami (Which is too far) I tried to look on the reviews forum here but could not find any for the Orlando Area.

I have a rather complicated case of CD and am steroid dependent. I sort of need someone who is up on new treatments. I'm also taking allopurinol to trick my body into metabolizing 6-MP correctly. (Apparently a lot of doctors don't like to do this, so I have the added problem of that)

I'm just feeling really stressed and I tried searching online but I can't tell who is a good GI?

I am way too anal about finding top-notch doctors and you are SO lucky to be in Orlando....the #1 GI center of Florida is Florida Hospital-Orlando ) I'm in Tampa and have seriously considered finding one there...


ps: I'm sure you found one by now....this post is a year later!!
