I feel like I have been over posting but I have a lot of things on my mind currently and I haven't heard back from my GI doctor today. I'm pretty positive I am having a flare. I have had a consistent headache for the past 4 days. I'm extremely nauseous and fatigued. The nausea and headache go hand in hand. I'm experiencing sharp and dull pains. I don't want to go to the emergency room and am unsure of what to do. My pain doctor thinks it may be a reaction to tramadol but I haven't taken it in 2 days now and am still feeling this way.I don't know if this is serious enough to go to the ER for. I'm having trouble eating and keeping food down most of the time and have noticed a little weight loss. If you were in my position what would you do?

Are you vomiting? (you said you were having trouble keeping food down) For me, vomiting has always been a clear sign on a blockage. I try to eat, I suffer terrible pain, I vomit. I go to the ER when that happens. They keep me for about 5 days filling me with Steroids and pain killers, no food for 3 days, just IV, then maintenence meds.

Cant say thats what it means for you as everyone is different, but thats what it means for me.

That's how things used to be for me when I went to Seattle Children's. I personally cannot take steroids because of the bad reactions that I have but I would be pumped with pain meds and remicade (which no longer works for me). Ever since I had to switch to an adult doctor at university of washington medical center I have not had the same care. They usually send me home with pain meds. I don't know what to do at this point. I am vomiting yes, and am very dizzy. These symptoms just seem to keep getting worst. I'm afraid if I go in I will be sent home if my inflammation markers aren't high (which i am sure they are). I just want to figure out what is going on with me and how to make it go away!!!

You need to ask for an upper GI series (yummy barium to drink) for them to xray. They can then see the narrowing of your intestines and know for certain there is an issue.

I used to get those all the time and haven't gotten one recently. I'm heading to the ER right now and demanding this to be done. Thanks.
