How many have a very active "stump" after becoming a colostomate?

Hi, Ive had my colostomy for 5 years, and within the last 6 months the remaining bit of bowl still attached to my anus is becoming very active. how many have this issue? im saying i need the loo about every hour or 2. is this normal?

That's VERY active indeed. I wouldnt ignore it. Have it checked out, perhaps with some tests run for active crohns?
