Hi all just wondering how much everyone weighs on here, been on steriods now for 8 months and have put on 5kg since being on them which makes me 59kg now

There is NOT a chance I am telling my weight on here, chances are most won't. Lets just say the prior Valerie Bertinelli and I were pretty much close

I'm at about 130-135lbs which is about my normal range, and at the weight that i look the healthiest. I had lost a bunch and went on entocort and was able to gain most of it back.

Stupid steroids, they seriously suck.

I am 7 nearly 8 stone. THE SHOCK OF IT!
I am 13 nearly 14 though.

Thats 110lb!
During my flare up in October 09 I went down to 4stone. It depends on how well I am
with my Crohns! :)

I am normally 125ish lbs as I am now. At my worst flare I dropped to 98-99 lbs. But there's so many ups and downs for everyone. When I was little I gained tons of weight thanks to pred and it was terrible. Thankfully, my GI said he won't put me on pred ever again. This disease can be sooo different for everyone weight-wise.

too much!!! but I lost a stone last year when ill and 1 stone the year previous when I didn't realise I wasn't sick. I then put on about 1/2 stone on pred and have stayed pretty much the same since have been out running and although i've toned up a wee bit I haven't lost much weight but I love my grub especially sweet stuff!!!

My weight isn't affected by my flares (how do I NOT lose weight when having diarrhea 10 times/day??) and I'm on the high end of the normal range for my height. I refuse to take prednisone after gaining 100 pounds last time. I just lost all that weight (through diet and exercise) and won't be risking gaining it back.

a healthy weight for me is 105-110. currently i'm 95, but that's up from the 90 that i was at my lowest 2 weeks ago.

to clarify, i'm only 5'1, so not just a beanpole normally. just short.

I am around 67KG (147LB) which is good for me. But I do a lot or running, which even when I was on steroids did allow me to gain much weight. I am 5'7" in height.

I was on predinsone for 9 months and i went from 49kg 17years old to 65kg 18 years old now i am 19 and its been 1 year 3 months since comming off it and i am now 55kg.
Can i also add i was 45kg in 2008 until i became sick with salmonella and lost 4-5kg

I am 1.80m (5' 11") tall and weigh about 80kg (176lb). My weight is fairly static and generally I do not lose much during flare ups.

Healthy weight for my height is 135-140 lbs. I am usually at 128-135 lbs. In a bad flare, I've dropped to 108 lbs.

I'm 7st 13 lbs .

Been on budesonide since may and on pred 30 mg aswel for 3 weeks an still not gaining yet , I look bloody awful lol .

I am 5'1 - last year when this great adventure started I was 190lb when I got home from resection June2010 I was 125. Currently 144.

currently 145 lb and 5 feet 3 inches. before the bowel resection I weighed 95 lb and last year at this time i was 180lb

pre-crohn's i was at 220 lbs. after my first flare up i dropped to 190 then after 3 months of pred jumped up to 240. i haven't been able to shed the pounds yet. ugh. so frustrating.

I am 5'5" and at diagnoses the beginning of June this year my weight was 182lbs. After 2 months on budesonide I reached 196lbs. The weight gain might also be due to high glucose levels which I am still trying to get under control.

When I went on steroids in 2006 (I was 15, now 19) they said you will probably gain weight and get a moon shaped face so just be aware of that! But I went the extreme opposite, I lost alot of weight and always was starving so I ate and ate and ate, so I think you can all guess what happened to me when I finished the steroids!!:rof: I did balloon but I lost it very quicky as I got to about 17/18 and now I'm happy at 57/58kg. The weight I'm happy at. I'm also 5"9' so I don't want to lose anymore weight as I don't think that will look to healthy on me!

Dancing is a way of life, makes me happy, keeps me quiet:tongue:

Diagnosed at 15
Currently on no meds
Previously took Asacolon and Pentasa

I'm generally weighing around 170lbs these days. My weight can bounce around quite a bit though depending on how well the gut is doing. Swings of up to 10lbs are not uncommon. Overall, quite pleased in that I'm up around 20lbs since changing my diet to eating paleo and lifting weights. The gut is less grumpy, and the weight gained has been muscle.

Before dx's I was at 155 lbs, then dropped to 130 due to diarrhea, etc. After surgeryin January this year I weighed 100 lbs and now am at a comfortable (for me) 125 lbs.
I am 5' 3"

Is it wrong to be jealous of skinny crohnies? I'm about 5'9 and I've always struggled with my weight. When I was diagnosed w/ Crohn's last year I thought maybe an upside would be less worrying about calories. So not the case! I was about 156 lbs after a year long exercise and diet regiment (down from 186 lbs) when I was diagnosed. With the 1st round of prednisone I gained 30 lbs! I lost 10 lbs when I went off the steroids, then ended up going back on them again and was able to hold my weight at 176 for that round. Now I'm about 190 (and 5.5 months pregnant). I definitely do not have an issue with keeping on weight! PS I don't mean to make light of anyone else's issues. I realize being underweight is just as serious as being overweight!

funnliy i actually remember the details from doctors today.

height 170cm weight 60.2kg. Was 72kg then 2 weeks in mexico took 10kg away that i have never put back.

i dropped to 113 but am back up to 117. my normal is about 124 and before i got crohn's i was about 140-145. i'm 5'5 and 19y.o. so i really should be at about 120 or so.

I am 5'4". I used to weigh around 170 lbs and got down to 135 from dieting and exercise. But now, after being sick, I am down to 125. I have always weighed more than I look, so even though that is a healthy weight, my bones stick out like crazy. But when I eat solid food, my belly swells up to about 5 months preggo until I am able to use the potty!

My husband lost 30 lbs before they found out he has crohns. Now that he is on pred hes put on about 15 lbs. I think he's around 165 right now and around 5'10. I'm in the middle of being diagnosed with possible crohns and durring a flare my lowest was 89, I'm at 95 lbs right now and 5'3.

I'm currently 8 Stones (112 pounds) Before the assault that perforated my bowel happened i was around 10 and a half stone (150). Since I came home in July i've put on about 7 pounds but I'm finding it really hard to gain weight with an ileostomy. In the past i have lost a lot of weight during flares but ended up on prednisolone which has helped pile it all back on but im not taking it at the moment. im 5"8 btw

I am 168cm/5ft 6 and as of yesterday weigh 7.2 stone/46.2kg/101 lbs.
Before Crohns I weighed a healthy 10.2 stone/64kg/ 142 lbs and had just got up to 51kg.
Been on pred for 12 months and recent big dose increase but tapered to 30mg yesterday....now where is that pred weight gain ? :-(

I am 140-143lbs. It is the high end of normal for my height. The only time I lost weight was when I was first diagnosed.

I am now 5'5" and 115lbs after my resection in June, before I was holding steady at 105lbs. I received TPN in the hospital and got up to 164lbs in 11 days!! Was put on lasiks and dropped to 98lbs. So slowly I putting some much needed weight back on.

At the beginning of the yr I weighed 165lbs I actually lost 34lbs and now I'm back up to 145lbs, but I have not been diagnosed yet.

i believe i was around 120-125 when i was first diagnosed in April of last year..i'm now around 135-140. i'm 5'4"...

I think Sarah sits around 45-47kgs and Matt is now 53kgs. At their worst Sarah was 34kgs and Matt 38kgs.

Dusty. :)

I'm 5'4", and weigh between 145-150lbs typically after losing 30 lbs since being diagnosed a year ago (60 lbs overall) and trying to get down to 135 or so.

I'm 5'8" and I'm currently at about 140 lbs. Which is a little bit high for me, but I've been lifting weights 3x per week, so I'm hoping that the bit of extra weight is muscle (they do say muscle weighs more than fat). I was 136 lbs before I became ill, and I dropped down to about 115 last year during the worst point in my illness. Then I was put on Entocort for 7 months and gained my weight back.

Crohn's has not affected my weight at all. (The hideously vain part of me wishes it would? Just a tiny bit? *slaps self for even thinking it*) I'm 148lbs right now. Through healthy diet and exercise I've come down from about 200lbs, and am 13lbs away from my goal weight... alas, it's not coming off... but if I keep feeling the way I feel right now, eating isn't going to be an option and that weight will be coming away... probably taking most of my muscle with it.

At my worst I was 110lbs (I'm 5'10")...and now, the "healthy" me is about 180lbs. I'm actually dieting and exercising to lose some weight. Everyone is supportive though, and no one wants to see me at 110lbs again.

Hey Nerple, we're about the same height/weight *highfive*

It's sort of freaky that we're the same height, maxxed out about the same weight, have the same goal and have plateau'd at the same weight, and Crohn's hasn't really affected our weight much..

Spent August taking in only about 1200 calories and about 3 hours a day plus in the gym and didn't drop at all. Now starting to try anything to take the last 10-15 off, though only getting to the gym about 1.5 hours a day lately and eating a bit more.

The last time I had a flare, I lost about ten pounds of muscle.. it sucked, and still not really back to where I was.

Nerple, you could end up actually gaining weight taking in so few calories and working out so much. it's not good for you.

180cm and 60kg. I have always struggled with being a skinny bloke. I've tried all sorts of ways to bulk up over the last 15 years. Trying to make myself more of a man

Crohn's has its strangle hold on me at the mo but as soon as i'm back on my feet I'm going back at it again.

Check out what Bobby's been up to (if gaining weight is your thing)

He's in my local area so he said he'd help me out in the new year to try and control my symptoms a bit better and maybe gain a few pounds. Can't wait to give it a try.
