Has anyone tried this? I tolerate it fine (but I also tolerate small doses of regular popcorn). It's not technically hull-less rather the hulls are a lot softer than regular popcorn. I can only find it online. I got mine via Amish Mart. I think I paid around $16 for 5 pounds or something like that. They do sell small sample sizes. You have to pop it in oil.

I was just wondering if others tolerate it or not if you've tried it.

I'm so hungry......

I have never heard of it, but wow that sounds good! I am afraid of popcorn, I avoid it like the plague usually. Every now and then I try it if I have been really good for a bit, but so many times that just ends up badly!

It's been 15 years since I've tasted popcorn...
honestly, I dream about it!!
I think about it and I can smell it!!! :lol2:

The 2-lb packages are only $3-$5 if you guys wanted to give it a try (plus shipping). You can also get it on Amazon. I think there are two different brands, one being the AmishMart, but I can't remember the other one.

Apparently the kernels are produced to be much smaller with thinner, delicate hulls. It is smaller when popped too and a tiny bit softer than regular.

!!! I am SO going to World Market this week to look into this! I just looked at their website and didn't see it there, but there's a World Market store near my workplace so I will see if maybe it's something they carry in the stores only. I'll let you guys know what I find out!

OMG! I keep telling my husband with all the technology we have these days I don't get why hull-free popcorn hasn't been invented! LOL

Sounds like this could be a good alternative. I'm still not sure I'm ready to try softer hull popcorn (because I have strictures that could potentially get blocked if things get stuck!), but am interested to read anyone else's reviews on this. Thanks for sharing :)

Cat, you'll have to tell us how it is! I think I have a World Market in town here. OoOoOo can't wait!!

I make Popcorn with toffee works a treat so make popcorn exploded in ..... unsalted butter
toffee bit is simple soft brown sugar butter and golden syrup . Melt butter in pan over low heat add soft brown sugar till all the butter is absorbed keep stirring add golden syrup do not over cook it now pore over popcorn and allow to cool mixing with metal spoons until coated and start to eat ! Simples also the toffee stops it from upsetting the system ! well it works for me !

I saw it in the World Market ad that came with the newspaper one time. Probably their food might not be on the website.

That sounds yummy, Christopherobin. I'll have to give that a try.

By the way, everyone, the reason I called it "hull-less" is because that's what it's called online and on the labels even though it's not technically hull-less. I didn't want y'all to think I was being deceptive.

I've browsed a lot of crohn's sites since being diagnosed, and it seems popcorn is the most missed food. At least it's talked about a lot, lol.

Ok here I am I come clean I am a chef well qualified but not famous but enjoy to cook every day for 10+ so Know how to make life scrummy for mortals who eat food .so for Crohn's suffers..... nothing burnt blackened or over cooked no slow cooked meats dont know why but it all kills so perhaps tonight's dinner was Stir fried vegetables in egg fried rice and poached breast of chicken in ginger and sweet and sour sauce pudding.... Ice cream and swiss roll , lunch was home made cream of vegatable soup, breakfast cup of tea and honey nut cornflakes and a little ice cold milk! stange though I can eat salted peanuts but not cooked Chocolate puddings Rice in any form is great but ... pasta and noodles kills but rice noodles are fine ! I wish I could bottle what is right and wrong !

Check out minipopsinc (won't let me post the ulr)! I was thinking of omitting corn out of my diet all together and came across this in my research. Sorghum is REALLY good stuff. I bake with it all the time.

Well, I went to World Market today, and they don't have hull-free popcorn. I asked a person who works there, and she said they had a lot of different kinds of popcorn over the summer, but they don't really carry many varieties during the winter. So, it's possible they'll have it again next summer, but they don't have it right now (at least not at my local World Market - I'm not sure if all their locations carry the same products).

Interesting, Cat. I have a World Market nearby where I live. I may go and see if I can find it out of curiosity. Though I'm not ready to try it! :)
