I found this website while I was searching for some answers about Humira. I was diagnosed when I was 13 and am now 29 I just recently needed to start medication. I have been on budesonide since December and was hoping to be off, but turns out that's not going to happen. I was on 6mp for most of January and hated how it made me feel. So my doctor switched me to Humira I just finished my starter pack last week, and I can say I feel worse now then I have in awhile.
I am constantly exhausted, I fall asleep at 8pm and sleep until 630 am and during the day I am like a slug, I have no appetite but can't lose weight ( I even count my calories, cardio 4 times a week and have a personal trainer, I started all of this just so I could start losing weight) I've been doing this for the entire time I've been on humira and I've lost A pound...so frustrating. I have wicked headaches, nausea, and horrible pains along my shoulder blades and in my neck.

Does this sound like anything anyone else has experienced?? I called the doctor Friday and she ordered bloodwork which came back pretty normal. I am just at a loss, I feel like I would have been better being unmedicated!
Any suggestions welcome!!

I have a post right here asking about similar issues! My main annoyance right now is that I'm 50lbs overweight, and can't lose a single pound. It's not uncommon that I fall asleep at 7-8pm and sleep 12 hours. I'm seeing my Dr on Wednesday to see what he says

I am right there with you! I struggle to stay awake. I started taking a B12 drink once a day to just function!! And losing weight is a joke at the moment ha ha I feel like I'm a hamster running on a treadmill and the weight just hangs out!!
Hope your symptoms get better, if I hear from my doc I will post if she gives me anything helpful!!!

I had major headaches with humira on the day of the injection and the following. Not always but often I would. And well, no specific reason were explained to me and nothing could clear them away... I have a tendency for migraine and humira seemed to be one of the trigger for me. Unfortunately I don't have much solution for you can only let you know you are not the only one.

I felt horrible during the loading doses and even through the first few maintenance doses but it has gotten better for me. At first I was so exhausted and could sleep the entire day after the injection. Thankfully I don't have that problem anymore. I am a couple months into my maintenance doses. Now I have the most energy and best few days following my injection.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure it's working. I got down to 5mg of prednisone and had pains again. GI upped my dosage and I'm coming back down again. I have so many side effects from the prednisone I don't have any idea what's working and what's not......sigh..... I sure hope it starts working for all of you and me!
