Husband with Crohn's and bruising on feet

Hello,

My fiance has had Crohn's for about 8 years. He was on remicade for quite some time but had to seek other treatment due to antibodies. He has recently started Humira as well as methotrexate. Over the past couple months he has developed these pin sized bruises on his feet and lower leg. Recently it has gotten a lot worse and is now showing up on his elbow. His GI is not the best and I am trying to get him to go see a doctor who is highly recommended but in the mean time I guess I'm just writing for some support as well as some advice.

He does need to be seen to rule out any other complications - what he may have is something like petechiae, - if it is, it definitely needs to be checked out.

was going to say the same as Lisa. It defintely look like petechaie. My daughter had it when her platelet counts dropped due to a blood disorder. Most definitely go to the doctor to get blood work done. Look closely and see if there is any on his back and trunk area as well. With it on his feet, I bet there is. Keep us posted if you can.
