i am in the hospital

:stinks:i am in the hospital the er doctor thinks i have a blocked bowel which is a good thing i came i called the on call doctor for my doctor and told them what was gong on and they at first said they wanted me to come and see them tomorrow but when i told them everything they said no go to the er right now



i told my husband what the doctor said i needed to go out to the er all i have to say to all you is something was really wrong and some of you did not believe me when there is really something wrong the pain was getting worse and so was the bleeding they wont let me have anything to eat or drink i think till tomorrow just in cause it is a blockage in my bowel


i will update when i can i can't go to sleep i am in to much pain to sleep but they are giving me pain meds through the iv they have in me here in a little bit i am going to try to rest by the way the er doctor did a xray on my stomach but i guess something showed up on it and the doctor then order a CT of my stomach and she said she thinks its a blockage of my bowel


but alll this i just wrote happen last night here is the update i have the doctor just came in and they are keeping me longer he is having a GI doctor here in the hospital is going to come see me at 12pm and the doctor said i may have to have a scope done tomorrow he also thinks i have crohn's diease i will update as soon as i can they have to keep giving me pain meds through my iv i am scared to death the doctor that just came in dont think its a blockage in my bowle like the er throught he thinks its the crohn's diease making me this sick uke_r::hang: :crabby1:ale: i am just glad they are going a head and getting the scope done to see whats going on i should know more tomorrow after i have it done

So sorry to hear you're in the hospital. I was worried that it sounded an awful lot like what I went through with my obstruction. I'm glad to hear though that they're getting some necessary tests done tomorrow. Whether it's a blockage or not, sounds like there's some active inflammation going on that needs to be controlled. Good luck with your scope tomorow. Did they say what time that would happen?

Keep us updated and try to get some rest as much as possible Hopefully yhe pain meds will help you to be more comfortable.

Sorry to hear you are hospitalized. Hopefully, you will get relief from the pain meds and get some much needed rest. Also, getting a diagnosis helps too!

Sweetie, your story sounds just like mine. I went to the ER for the same reasons and after having a CT scan they could see my lower bowel was totally inflammed. And they suspected Crohn's too. They tried to do a scope but I was so blocked they couldn't get very far, but they did take tissue and told me in the next few days that it was indeed Crohn's. After an anti-b and prednisone (IV) I felt so much better (and could poop again !!)and went home by the third day. I hope it's that easy for you .....except I wouldn't wish Crohn's on anyone. I wish good results for you and I hope your feeling much better soon.
