So a few days ago, I started getting odd symptoms. A tightning of the lower chest/upper stomach and generally feeling ill. I thought nothing of it but I think it's getting worse. My appetite is awful right now and every time I eat something, I feel like I'll throw up. I'm pretty sure this is related to my crohns, but Idk what is causing it. I've never had this before.

I really don't know what to do right now.. I'm guessing the top reply will be to get in touch with my nurse, but I don't know what they will/can do about it..

This could be inflammation and narrowing in your gut or do you have GERD? There are also organs in the area you describe. Either way its important to be seen by a doctor.

Everything described on the page about GERD (GORD) are really how I feel. I feel myself burping a lot and a lump on my throught when I swallow..

After reading about Barrett's esophagus now I'm freaking out.. :( I'll go see a doctor/call my nurse first thing tomorrow.

I thought my symptoms were GERD even though I was never diagnosed with it. Turns out it was a partial blockage in my ileum at my resection site. Either way make sure you talk to your doctor before it gets worse. I took Prilosec (doctor's orders) for about 2 weeks until one day the pain and nausea got so bad I went to the ER where I started throwing up. They did a CT scan and found the blockage and I had to stay for a few days and get IV steroids to get it to calm down. Make sure they run tests before treating what they think it could be.

Keep us posted. :)
