I saw him and it went very well. We are both optimistic that I am in remission. I am down to 5 mg pred on monday. He said that I can stop taking immuran in September so that I can try to get pregnant. He says I can stay on remicade during pregnancy but we can cross that bridge when we get there. I still feel really good. I can eat whatever I want and nothing bothers me. I dont have a single crohn's symptom and havent since about 4 or 5 days past my first remicade infusion. I am really glad that this seems to be working so far. I am so happy that I responded well to my treatment. I gotta start watching what I eat now or I will put on too much weight. Its so nice to have my life back. My family is much happier too. lol.

Fantastic news Lydia!! I hope your remission lasts a long time and you can expand your family :)

I figure even though I feel good I will stick around here, so people know its possible to someday feel good even though you have IBD. I think that most people in remission are out living their lives, which is why you dont see too many on the forums, but they really do exist. lol.

Great news Lydia! Here's to a long happy pain free remission :)

(I'm hoping I am too, now I've kick Pred's arse!)

Hi Lydia - That is fantastic news! So glad you are feeling great and have acheived remission in such a short time after starting the Remi.

Please do stick around for those of us that haven't gotten there yet! We need all the encouragment and hope we can get.

-Amy
