I am in the middle of being dx with colitis or Chrons. They already did a colonoscopy and my endoscopy is tomorrow (6-11). I have been having upper stomach pain ...is this normal with ibd? I usually having stomach pain from belly button down. :sign0085:

Upper abdominal pain can indicate activity in your small intestine. Be sure to let you GI know immediately. Have you had any study of your small intestine? Also, you mention the colonoscopy and endoscopy. Are you able to hydrate? Upper abdominal pain can be a sign of dehydration. If it gets bad tonight, you might want to call in to the doc on call. Best to you and keep us updated.

No study on my small intestine just the colonoscopy . ( this is all new for me). But i have my endscopy today at 1. Does this not study the small intestine?

Thanks for all the help

Oh goodness I wasn't clear.:ybatty: sorry! Yes the endoscopy is a scope with a light that will show your GI your upper GI track. Good idea to give him/her a heads up before the scope and before you have any sedation. Best to you!!!

Good Luck with your scopes today. I have recently had upper abdominal pain and my doctor is checking my inflammation levels through my bloodwork.

I agree with informing your GI of the pain beforehand.

Well scope showed inflammation where my esophagus and stomach meets...he took a biopsy of that and also a biopsy of my small intestine. (he said that looked ok but he wanted to be certain) . Now just waiting on all biopsy from both scopes.

My throat is scratchy ( which I know is normal) ..I have a cough and my stomach feels like I did 1000 sit ups...WEIRD
