Today was definitely one of those moments that are sent to test you.

I was visiting a work colleague who is off sick and just as we sat down I felt the urge to run off to the bathroom. I'm not comfortable enough to go in her home but I was quickly running out of options! The more I tried to hold it in the worse it got and I could feel it starting to come out. And she has a cream coloured sofa for goodness sake!!!!

Thankfully I managed to excuse myself at the right time, stayed as long as was polite then dashed home.

If you're listening Santa, there'd better be a new digestive system boxed up under my tree when I wake up!!!

Reminds me before the ileostomy, when I worked full time, and one of the younger new employees complained to me about how much time I spent in the bathroom... lol

In the supermarket, it's amazing how many times I have to find 'something of interest' on the bottom shelves so I can crouch down until the urge passes just enough to make a break for the loos!

I don't know how many stores of all kinds I had to make a dash to the closest employee to find the bathroom, sometimes there weren't any for the public, but they would allow me to use the staff's.
My first surgeries were for rectal fistulas, so there was not as much control there as normal. I had forgotten a lot of this. The good old days....

At one point i was considering turning my wheeled shopping bag/trolley into a porta loo
still have urgency but can hold for a little while now (phew) tho can be a very close call sometimes

Yes its bad sometime i will be in conversation and all you see is me running for the loo saying ill be right back lol

I must appear mad somtimes when im with a customer n near on dancing a jig to get to the loo. Try to smile my way thro when all i can think is 'please say ok thanks for your help ' then i can beat ussain bolt in the 100 yard sprint to the loo.

Oh blimey Ron. Its awful init iv stained my bathroom mats a few times, just not quite made on the loo b4 it arrived. When i had my bag n it leaked oh boy that was messy. My washer has threatened to go on strike b4 now lol

I remember once ,when visiting my parents, bleeding on my mother's couch but she was totally understanding.

Of course she would be Ron she's your mum n knows how things are for you. I know as a mum i couldnt whine at my son when he was young n throwing up all over the place due to a diaphragmatic hernia at birth . He threw up for around ten years . Untill another op sorted it out. He couldnt help it anymore than could you with the bleed. Omg what a fun time we have eh !!! . You know what Ron **** happens n we gotta keep smiling or we drown in it
