I had my ileostomy reversed today. I feel better than I did with the last surgery, except for the nausea. I'm really afraid of the coming days. I'm worried about how much pain I will be in and how bad the gas pain will be. I know it's different for everyone, but I was just wondering If anyone would share with me their stories..I have had a few of you answering my questions and I really appreciate it. I just want to get as many stories as I can. Any advice is accepted.

I was concerned for the same reason when i had my ileostomy reversed. However, i have not had any pain since the reversal. I continue to have loose bm's, but i will take them over the pain.

No j-pouch, I was told that with crohn's I can't have a j-pouch in case my small intestines were to get inflamed at some point. I had the ileum (end) of my small intestine attached to the last nine inches of my colon. I had the rest of my colon removed back in october. Thank you jlanier for the info. The nurses keep asking me if I'm having gas yet. Today is the second day in the hospital and I haven't had any gas or bm's yet. How many times a day do you go?
