Ileostomy reversal question

Hello!

I am brand new here and have a question....

Has anyone here had experience with rectal scarring and an ileostomy reversal? I had to have a temp ileostomy because of my colon being perforated during a colonoscopy two years ago. I am currently on medication for my Crohn's and my colon looks so much better after the last scope last month, but now they tell me I have a lot of scarring in the rectum, and might not be able to do the reversal? Does anyone have any information about this? Going for a second opinion with another colon/rectal surgeon this week.

I don't know the answer but I would ask if balloon dilation is possible. It might not be but find out your options re: rectum surgical reconstruction.
