I'm due for my 4th infusion on the 31st of this month and still do not have a whole lot of relief... So I guess my question is " how long before I feel results? The only thing that has changed for me is instead of going 20/30 times a day I'm going about 10/15 times a day, I'm still running fevers quite often and my pain is still a constant thing. Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance! :0)

I noticed a change after my first infusion, now waiting for my 6th and have never felt better, iv been that well with it that in 2 and a half weeks I am having my ileostomy reversed :)

thats great Christie :) Im due to start in a few weeks so I hope i have the same luck with it.

Hope you start to feel better soon Nell xx

Artificial,
I hope you are able to get relief as many other people have, I started it because of the wonderful results people have had and still hope for the same.

I have tried some but not all of the the meds you listed, I'm going back to my GI soon, time to talk about other options.

Nell,

Its already reduced the amount of times you go in a day by 50%, so stay positive and lets hope that the 4th infusion starts to work its magic on the pain and fevers.

I saw my consultant last week here in the UK and i said that to me i dont feel 'that' different after having 3 infusions (4th is due in 2 weeks) to which he pulled out pictures from my recent scope and blood results, which showed significant improvement in the inflammation and ulceration of my bowels and inflammatory markers were down on blood tests.

Stay positive (i know its hard) but everyones different, and fingers crossed your next infusion REALLY makes a impact:thumright:

Good luck darlin'! I hope it either gets better soon or you can find something that helps you out. Hang in there! :)

I started feeling better after my third does however I'm on my 6th now and I have to say that this dose is really helping me out.

It was very gradual. Give it more time. It is working just a bit slower.

I totally agree about waiting a little longer and yes it has helped some and that is a very good thing, I just sometimes need it to be pointed out to me. :0) I just get scared with the whole disease and the meds. I hate having to choose between quality of life or drugs that can ultimately hinder your quality of life if taken for years. I guess I was hoping for perfection with this med and my expectations were set way to high. Silly girl I am. I should have been smarter then that. I'm going to continue my infusions and stay positive (I hope), and see what happens. It's nice to have people to relate to and I thank you for your positivity! ((((( BIG HUGS )))))
