In pain AGAIN !!!

Thought I was going to have to go to hospital on Saturday morning, I was in so much pain i was having palpitations cold sweats (you know the score) anyway it settled down but came back yesterday afternoon at work ! all seems to have settled again at the moment but obviously things are not right. As i have posted before I am taking aza but am not happy because i cant go out in the sun without a weeks worth of itching afterwards (and yes i have tried all sorts to stop the itch) I am going to stop aza in the spring has anyone else changed meds because of this and if so to what ?

Hi David,

Sorry to hear of your troubles If you feel something is wrong, please get in to your GI or do whatever is necessary to be on the safe side. There's lots of alternatives to Azathioprine. I'd share your frustration about not being able to go out in the sun with your doctor and see what he or she recommends based upon your case.

Cheers David, I haven't been right for over a year now, got it in my head I had got bowel cancer, I called my IBS nurse who made a appointment for me to see my Dr. I told him my concerns and had another endoscopy which has come back clear. So now thinking of other reasons for the pain (maybe the pain is normal for people with crohns i dont know). The only problem is im not due to see the Dr again til next Oct and feel like im bothering him if I call to see him early

That's what they are there for. Call him and get an earlier appointment.

Unfortunatly all I need to say is NHS great in an emergency, not so good for anything else...
