Info on Biologics

Dear all,

I've been having crohns for the past 15 years and now going through a flare up. Having severe pain in the stomach, rectal contricture makes it very difficult to pass stool. Feel like visiting the loo every half an hour , but doesnot pass. MY GI suggests biologics but im not sure. Is anyone out here on biologics...need some advice. Depressed and desperate

Hi Mars...Yes, there are many here who have been on different types of biologics. Please check the forums on Remicade, Humira, etc. I am out of town right now or would post more, but I'm sure more work post replies.....

Hello! I've been on two types of biologics, myself. (Remicade and then Humira.) Like Lisa said, there's entire sections of the forum dedicated to these medications, because so many of us take them.

Biologics have been life-savers for me. My Crohn's is very severe, and now that I've been on them, I've been in remission for well over a year. No more pain or symptoms of active Crohn's. I also have no side-effects from Humira.
