I can relate to a lot of members on here that cant seem to get answers from the doctors. I have been sick with diarreah, feeling week, difficulty swallowing, nausea, cramping so bad you have to curl up and hold a pillow for pressure on your stomach since November 2009, After many trips to the general doctor and me demanding a referral to a GI did I get one. Of course I had to wait until May 3rd for that. They did a thyroid blood test and a stool sample. throid was negative, stool sample had high level of white blood cell count. On May 31 I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy done, with results they say were all negative, But because of the white blood cell count in stools doctor said something was wrong and wanted to do a small bowel follow through, So I went through that as well. The doctors assistant called me and said that to was fine and they did another stool sample, which again came back the same. I asked what the doctor was going to do next and was told I have no idea he did not say but if you want to make an appointment to discuss it with him you may. So of course I said yes I need to figure this out, I am tired of being sick and cant take much more. This time frame was second week in June. My appointment they gave me is not until August 10th I think, I was like are you kidding me, what the h--- am I suppose to do until then, She says I will put a note for the doctor to call you when he can, Well people we are now into the last week in July and I have not heard anything at all from this doctor.
I have called his office and still nothing, So I have made a decision to go to the office and request all my records, test results and move on down the line. I am not the type of person to let it go. i am 40 years old and I know when something is just not right. Besides I have a grandbaby that has UC and I am needed here to help take care of her and her two brothers.
In 2007 I was diagnosed with Diverculosis, Which I was not even told I had until 9/2008, When I went into the ER keeled over in pain, I could not believe that they never told me in 2007. I have had three kidney stones since November 2005, and I currently have a 5ml one that I truly hope does not try to pass. I would rather have a baby then pass a kidney stone.
Life is too short to give up Hope, if we dont have hope we dont have much.
My mother always says to me "Rosemary god does not give us more than our plates can handle" Well I am beginning to think that God believes we use Turkey Platters instead of plates... because mine is over full and spilling all over the table.... lol
