Hi,
Well I had Remi re- introduced two weeks after having a severe reaction a year ago. They gave me Piriton & and Hydrocortizone and started the infusion at 100 and all went well with no reaction thankfully!
Yesterday went for my 2nd infusion and it was set to run at 80 and within an hour my face started to go bright red and I felt really hot, the nurse stopped the IV and took my obs and told me I wasn't having a reaction as my obs were the same as when they started the IV. She then started it running at 50 and upped to 80 within an hour and all went well after that, even though I ended up in there for 6 hours! :boring: what I would like to know is, is this common to feel hot and flushed while having the IV ? I don't have any bad side affect after in fact, I'm like a mad woman on a mission because of the energy !!!!! just don't like that feeling. anay advise or info would be greatly appreciated thanks:) x

I remember feeling kind of like that during my last infusion but maybe not exactly what you felt. I did feel like my face was getting flush but then after a few minutes it seemed to gradually go away. It might just be due to your body getting all those fluids put into it. I also will get cold and sometimes I feel like my bladder is filling up fast so I have to go to the bathroom even though I haven't had much to drink.
