I haven't drank in such a long time. Last night I went out with friends and drank for hours on end. Now, I'm home, and my butt is killing me. There is a large painful bump that's towards the end of my butt cheek. When I track down how long it is, it goes from my butt cheek to my anus. It's very painful, I keep waking up from my sleep.

What can it be?

It sounds like a boil. They also call it a fistula. You should more than likely have it checked out by your doctor. My grand daughter just had one and needed antibiotics to get rid of it. Draining it was not an option as the medication brought her immune system down and infection could have happened if opened. See your doctor ASAP. Hope all goes well. Best to you.

Alcohol may be ok depending on whether you find it personally bothers your condition and what medication you take. Only you can know if it bothers your stomach but if you tell us what meds you take we can let you know what we were told about possible interactions.

Personally, I had found during my last flare started that every time I drank alcohol, I would end up throwing up within a few hours. By morning I would end up with diarrhea. Found it was better just to avoid it. It didn't really seem to matter what kind, beer, wine, hard liquor, same result.

Lager is horrific for me,but anything else seems to be ok drives my friends bonkers that I don,t get hangovers.good luck
