My last colonoscopy showed acute microscopic inflammation in the normal-appearing ascending colon, but I have ileal Crohn's...

does this mean it's spreading/reactivating, or is it Microsopic Colitis...?

My son had CD located in the terminal ileum only, upon dx. It was limited to mainly around his ileocecal valve. But at his last colonoscopy before surgery, the biopsies showed that his disease had spread to his cecum in the large bowel, visually it appeared normal.

DS has had nothing but microscopic evidence on his scopes but he has crohn's from stomach to rectum.
His scopes tend to look mostly normal as well.

Crohn's doesn't always produce mass amounts of inflammation that's visible during tests. It can be microscopic all the way to painfully swollen. Microscopic Colitis is completely different so chances are more areas are being affected by the Crohn's as it can affect you anywhere in your digestive tract.
