I went to see my GI the other day and I told him I was in a flare two times and was in the hospital 2 times because of it and he seemed shocked that I got in a flare like it should happen to people with crohns! And he said since when the did a colonoscopy last and it showed no flare up they were not going to it at all like he doesn't know when we will do one! And he said that I might have IBS. Also he said humira has cured me and I have no active crohns. I asked if I could start remicade cause I hate injections and he said no to changing it

So I want to know is it normal to have flare like signs and tell your doctor and he not run test
And also if I want remicade do I have that right to have it?

Maybe it is time to look for another GI.
Your questions are reasonable and should be answered.
If you are flaring he should certainly be looking into it all.
Regarding a switch from Humira to Remicade--be careful what you ask for.
If the humira is working for you then there would not appear to be the need to switch.
A good rapport with your GI is vital to your well being and if you don't have this with the current one, I would suggest you seek another GI opinion.
There are GI specialists listed in the forum by other members perhaps you would like to take a look around, or go with other recommendations from friends or colleagues.
You should be able to ask all questions of your GI and especially when it is relating to medication.
We are not really the best judges of which drug is best for our situation and is why we seek expert opinions in the first place.
I don't think we have a "right" to any type of medication but it is certainly our right to ask and discuss with the specialist responsible for managing our care.
It is not usual to talk of cures as such with Crohn's---rather a remission.
Feel better soon
Hugs and best wishes

People with Crohn's can go into a remission but there is no cure for it. I agree with the other posters. You need to find another GI doctor who will listen to you and answer your questions.
