Are there any known medical doctors who regularly participate in the Crohn's forum?

I would guess they probably wouldn't want to make their presence known given the potential for drowning in questions, but maybe so.

It'd be great if we have some medical doctors on the board who can directly relate to those dealing with this disease. Perhaps they could participate in a weekly "ask the doctor" session. Or maybe it could be a scheduled chat.

haha im a doctor, but not a gastroenterologist, and dont claim to have all the answers. I think often we know more as patients then the doctors do. And its a bit of a dodgey area because you can't give medical advice other then 'go to your doctor'.

One could explain medical terminology and what things mean, and maybe what the guidelines are and where to find research etc, but not much else really.

Interesting, thanks for the insight! I bet it's interesting to see the information passed around on here from a medical professionals point of view. Or infuriating lol!
