Hi, so it all started April last year when I got constipation and it gave me a anal fisture and the doctor gave me some cream but that made my skin in that area thin and tear again so I used sudocream instead the lump never got better and I'd still torn. In September I started to get really bad diarrhoea and tummy pains. This carried on and got worse I cut out gluten but didn't really help. By February this year I had enough so I went to see my gp.

She booked me an appointment to have some blood tests. About 2 weeks later the doctor called me back and told me I had iron deficiency and folic acid deficiency so they prescribed be will 5ml of folic acid twice a day and 5ml of iron 3 times a day in liquid form (as I can't swallow tablets) I started to get more pain and I was told to take only 2 doses of iron to ease the pain. By now I got a lot of headaches and a feeling hot on my forehead. The doctor also said something about my liver but that has never been mentioned again. The celiac results were negative.

In April I went to see a doctor in hospital. I am not the advrage height for my age so they said it could be IBD because it delayed growth. They also gave me another blood test to test for everything. They also booked me for a abdominal scan. The doctor felt my tummy and said it felt soft so the scan will probably be normal.

About 3 weeks later I got my blood tests back and they showed celiac negative again and that I had inflammation.

Then the next week I had my scan and it showed bowel inflammation.

My pains started getting so bad with cramps, trapped wind, aches and lots and lots of gurgling and bubbling. I also get a ton of mucus but never really any blood, mouth ulcers and fever. I also get nauseous and went through a stage were when ever I ate something bad I threw up but I've not thrown up for quite a while. I also sometimes get hives and have anemia.

I am due to have a colonoscopy in a month or so and quite dreading it. I am seeing a dietitian in a few weeks again because I have lost a lot of weight and weigh 19kg

I am currently in a really bad flare leaving me crying in pain and I have taken buscopan but that makes it worse and calpol but that doesn't work either.

Any tips and is this crohns or could it be something else like celiac because the colonoscopy is testing for that as well

Thank you:sign0085:

When my son was in your condition, he was immediately given a colonoscopy and put on steroids. Now he is on Remicade.

I think the only way to know if you have Crohn's is from a biopsy. Don't worry about the colonoscopy, though. It should just be a nice nap. :)

Not sure. It could be Crohns or Colitis or some other form of IBD. They will probably do biopsies during the colonoscopy. Do you still have the fissure? I hope that after the colonoscopy that they can get you on the right medicines and you will feel better.
