Hi

Is it normal for someone with crohn's to ache all over, all her joints are painful. Even her skin hurts to touch!!

My daughter has only just come out of hospital and very quickly going down hill again!

Someone has suggested that she may have Gastroparesis, this is something I haven't heard of, but looking it up it looks very possible!!

I'm not sure the gastroparesis would have skin pain and overall joint aches associated with it. They are not uncommon Crohn's side effects' though. Both Crohn's arthritis and co-morbid rheumatoid arthritis are common with the GI issues. The skin sensitivity could be due to systemic inflammation, again from Crohn's. Definitely something to discuss with your GI doc, though, and possibly a rheumatologist.

She has 30mg pred orally and 20mg pred foam. Also salofalk 1g. omeprazole 20mg, calceos and ondansetron for sickness, along with several laxatives (can go 2 weeks without any BM)

We are wondering about gastroparesis because even the barium meal test she had got 'stuck' in her stomach and she ended up vomiting most of it

If she is doing bad like you said, I believe the aches can be coming from just being dehydrated, tired, lousy. Crohns really kicks energy out of you if your flaring and im sure this could cause body aching just from being weak.
