We are considering our next option...how old is your Humira kiddo? Our doc is wondering if they will approve it for dd.

EJ's 12 Angie, started at 11.

I don't know if anyone as young as Izzy is on it but I'd think if Remi was approved, H would be. Something has to work for that sweet girl!!

Our (Boston) doc tells me it's only approved for 8 and up...but you're right, even though Remi was a fight, they did approve it :)

Caitlyn found the Humira shots very painful and the pain continued for several hours afterwards. I don't know if anyone else has that problem but she literally would not be able to walk after. We stopped them after the third time using it.

When I did them in my thighs it did make walking sore, as well as the stomach, but my stomach was less tender. After the initial start up shots we learned techniques to prevent pain. Letting the shot sit out 20 minutes and waiting a few minutes for the alcohol from the wipe to dry helped as well. I never did it, but I heard icing the area before with an ice cube also helps. I usually just stayed put after my shot until about an hour later.
