Hi everyone!

I haven't been here in a million years... I hit remission back in October and have been doing well... until the Monday before last. I started having wild nasty joint pain... I took two tramadols, two tylenol pms and an ambien every night just to get a little sleep. I could barely move... and it got progressively worse as the week wore on.

The following Monday, I had my Remicade infusion... and over the course of the two hour infusion I felt the joints in my hands and wrists loosen up and feel much better... like a zillion times better.. like cured... I couldn't believe it. Even the nurses were baffled about the sudden turnaround

Now, I know Remicade also treats RA which is why I didn't call my doctor or anyone during last week. I was curious to see what Remicade did. I am going to call my Gastro Doc tomorrow (I forgot to do it yesterday and today is Independence Day) and see what he thinks...

I dunno... has this happened to anyone? And if so, what was it?

Thanks so much in advance!

Remicade should absolutely help with the joint pain. Since I was put on it, I have not had any joint pain flares... they used to happen multiple times per year. I see you posted this a couple weeks ago - what did the doctor say?

Thanks for your reply Patrick!!!

The doctor said that if this happens again, that he can either up the dosage of Remicade OR space the infusions closer together. He said this AS IF joint pain was very common with Crohn's which I was unaware of...

Oh well then!!!

Cheers!
