I have had UC for 15 years started 6mp a few months ago and had to stop it two weeks ago because of decreased white blood cells. Repeated bloods last week wcc normal but my alt was 168, repeated bloods yesterday two weeks with no 6mp and my bloods are off. My ALT is 234, ALP 173, Billirubin 9, Albumin 50, wcc 3.7, neutrophils normal, crp less than 3. What do you guys think? I'm so scared, I'm waiting for the dr to get in touch but in the mean time I am going out my mind with worry. Do you think it looks PCS? Or autoimmune hepatitis is my other worry. I've not got any other symptoms, UC is now in remission. Have a bit of a dull ache at the top of my abdo but also really constipated at the moment.

Do you have a prothrombine time?

Heya nah is not part of routine bloods for me. My dr def thinks drug induced hepatitis. Have my mrcp scan on Tuesday just trying to stay positive. I think with the alt being higher than the alp its probably not going to be PSC. I hope.

Yeah, well, I am not a health professionnal but from the references and papers I have looked regarding your question, it does seem like your bloodworks are not representative of PSC more like acute liver "something". I hope for you that it is and will be resolving promptly. I know that it is suppose to recover quickly (though, I don't know how quickly) except for rare cases.

Thanks its reassuring to hear, I've read all about it but its always nice to have so done else say it too.

I'm sorry you are going through this *hug*

I don't have any experience with this, so I can't really give you any useful advice, I just wanted to offer you my support and let you know I'm here if you need someone to talk to.. Hopefully by bumping the thread up you'll get some more experienced answers.

I sincerely hope that this is something that can be dealt with quickly, I know that the liver is a remarkable organ and provided its not something chronic, this should help you to recover from whatever is going on.

Sorry to hear you are going through this ((((hugs)))) hope it's not serious and is easy to resolve
