I was just curious if anyone else experienced leg pain during a flare up. The pain is almost like an aching down my thigh muscles down through my calves.....anyone else have this issue, or am I just a weirdo.....that so would'nt surprise me.....:)

no, you're not a weirdo... well not because of this anyway :D

joint pains are really common with Crohns, and mine too seem to always be in my legs, my knees & ankles being the hotspots.

Yeah, bad leg, back and hip pains here. Top of the butt being the epicenter and it works its way down the back of the legs to the toes.

I have had issues with sciatica over the years. A better work chair seemed to alleviate it for a while, but not so much anymore.

I went to a certified accupuncturist last week and that made me feel like a new man for a couple of days (though it was "a lot better" on side and "a little bit better" on the other). At least I was able to stand up straight. I'm going to go once a week and see if it helps.

Arthritis -- yet ANOTHER thing on the list of things I want to get checked for.

I had horrible leg pain to the point where I couldn't walk barely. After they put me on pred the pain went right away just to be replaced with different symptoms though. Before the pred I took two 500mg tylenol which took the pain completely away but only for a few hours....

Actually most of you are describing sciatica which is a pinched nerve. It's not proper joint paint. Not that most of you don't have joint pain, but the radiating pain from your hip down your leg isn't from your joints. I get that as well. In our case it may be related to the inflammation in the abdomen pinching the sciatic nerve which is notoriously easy to pinch off.

I have joint pain all of the time no matter what (other than taking steroids). It gets especially bad sometimes though to the point that it's crippling and I'm limping around or unable to hold objects for extended periods of time because of the pain.
