Loose stool after diagnosis?

After my "silent crohn diagnosis" two weeks ago, I've been having loose stool these past two weeks. I remember the first day after colonoscopy stool was normal as before, then for the 3, 4 days after I experienced constipation first followed by loose foamy stool. The color was quite dark at first then to dark green(no blood).

could this be the "die-off" symptoms of GAPS diet that I started for about a month? I've had a lot of meat, bone broth, veggies, very little fruit and basically no carbs. but according to this article:

http://scdlifestyle.com/2012/05/did-scd-gaps-or-paleo-make-you-feel-worse/

quote:
"To summarize: “die-off” symptoms might last anywhere from the first 3-7 days on a real food diet and symptoms related to low-carb adaptation might last anywhere from the first 2-3 weeks."

So is it possible that I'm still adapting to the diet? I had one rosacea(seborrheic dermatitis) flare up during this time, and I used Pimecrolimus(immune inhibitor) to control them. Pimecrolimus didn't work before when I had SD breakouts, so that's a progress. Right now I'm still having red inflammed areas around my nose but they're not as itchy and uncomfortable.

Another thing I want to mention is that I've been drinking breast milk(about 100ml for 5 times total), could this contribute to my stool issue?

Hi and welcome.
maybe your news symptoms are the result of progression of disease activity...? Are you currently on a medication since your diagnosis?
best way to know if a specific food is upsetting your gut is to eliminate it from your diet for a little while and observe.

Seems like the symptoms have alleviated a bit for the past 2 days. Still not sure what caused it, I'm not on any meds, don't have any symptoms in small intestine, only symptoms outside of the digestive tract which now I believe is due to malnutrition. I see you taking B12? do you take it as supplement or inject? I highly suspect I have very low level of B vitamins as my SD break out very often.

I am glad you are better since 2 days.
what were your symptoms for a gastroenterology consultation since you mention you have ''silent CD'' and where is your disease located?
I have started B12 injection after a blood test revealed I had a deficiency. Your GI should run this test as well as Vitamin D. These are common deficiencies we CD patients have. B12 deficiency is common in people with disease in terminal ileum.

Mine is located at the terminal ileum. I haven't yet decided to do a CT enterography, couldn't tell where else got infected in the small bowel. Went to the hospital today found out B12 deficiency test is the only thing they check, but some googling shows I might also lack B6, zinc, possibly others. I'll go check it on monday. As for Vitamin D, I stopped taking supplements and stand half naked under the sun instead. My main symptoms involve inflammation on my face, the eyes, fatigue and occasional fever.

The frequency of B12 injection can change overtime and be adjusted. I started once a month. And with blood test we checked if i was good skipping a month and I was fine. So I get them every 2 months now.
