Hey guys i'm a 28 year old male in australia have severe crohns have inflamation in both intestines and colon.

I have alot of bowel motions that are just mucas and generally find it hard to put off going to the toilet so my social life is non existant at the moment.

I would just like to know if anyone has stopped their mucas and how did you do it.

I'm playing with diet and supplements at the moment.

I would just say, get to a GI doc and get on some meds. Stop the inflamation - that is the answer. A colon is a terrible thing to lose, just ask me :)

Your poor colon is trying to protect and heal itself with all that mucus. If it continues, just gonna be alot of scar tissue, strictures, etc. When was your last colonoscopy to access the condition and check for colon polyps?

I have manged to some what decrease this. I exercise and try to limit my carb intace. For some reason starcy food makes it worse for me.

I'm on predniselonone and simponi at the mment so already on meds i've started to exercise around the house but i find it hard to go for walks if theres no toilet nearby

If you've been on the Simponi a while and it's not working, maybe your doc should switch you to another biologic, like Remicade or Humira. Have you tried MP6 or imuran?

I've only been on simponi for 3 weeks and the instructions say it takes 4-6 weeks for it to fully kick in i got another shot coming up in a week see how i go
