After 4 weeks on a restricted diet, I'm getting bored and needs some ideas.

Been sticking to basics, white bread, jacket potato (no skin), tuna, mild cheese, ham, sweet bread, de-cafe tea, custard, chicken, fish poached in milk, mash, tin carrots, tin peaches, cornflakes.

That really is all I have been eating, knowing its safe and was only expecting to be on it 2wks. Now its going to be longer term I would love to hear some meal / menu ideas that work if you can share with me please.

PS; I am craving Chinese take away!!

Have you tried other herbal teas? My favourite is fejoa and honey. Just to give you a slight change. I had to do 8 weeks of ensure plus when I was first diagnosed. It ses to have been the only thing that worked

I'm not the best with meal ideas, but have you tried a simple shrimp scampi? It takes like 5 minutes to make and you can control how much olive oil you want to use. As far as Chinese takeout I usually get a cucumber salad which is cucumber shaved really thinly and dressed in some sort of vinegar dressing and then I get shrimp lo mein and pick around the vegetables

You could make meals based around white rice and pasta. Or omelettes.

Are avocados ok for you? I was fine with them on a low fibre diet. They have more fat than other fruits but you must need some even on a low fat diet. When I had to avoid too much fibre I ate a lot of toasted cheese and avocado sandwiches with Ketchup (with white bread). Or banana sandwiches.

There are all sorts of yoghurts and ice creams you can eat if you're bored of custard. And if you're bored of Cornflakes, try Rice Kripies, Cocopops, Frosties. You may be ok with Special K and Cheerios. There are quite a few other cereals low in fibre and fat.

Can you eat eggs? I buy cartons of egg whites. You could try cheese omelet, scrambled eggs. I make Egg McMuffins with egg whites and a slice of cheese. Egg salad sandwiches. Do you have macaroni and cheese in England? Also bananas and grapes. Waffles and pancakes.

hi there!
sorry to hear that that's all you are eating :(
I've been doing a diet and have been off meds for 3 years now! and I certainly eat more then that hahah I would love to help you out and talk to you more if you are interested and give you tips and advice of what I have learned. There is plenty out there for Chronies to eat just have to be a little more careful and sensitive to everyday foods but you can be completely healthy!
Best regards Niki

I would love to talk!
