Sooo, I've had every test done, and about to have a second pill cam done. Everything has come back normal except the pill cam which showed ulcerations in small intestine. I've never had pain in my lower left quadrant near my hip bone ish area. If it was on my right sidei would think it was my appendix, that's how this pain feels. But it's on the left so I'm confused on where this pain is coming from! Please help! :( it's like sharp throbbing pains...

I've also been put on a "fat diet" to see how much fat my intestines are absorbing, so do you think it could be because of that or what? I'm not sure what's going on and scared because I've never had this pain before. It's already lasted about 45 minutes.

I'm sorry Sunshine, I haven't had pain there before, so I don't know what might be causing it. Hopefully someone will come along with a suggestion. Do let your family know that something different is going on.

Hey Sunshine,
How are you doing today. Pain any better? Is the fat diet (from your other thread) going OK?

Hey :) ! I have had this many a time. Odd question, but this was when it was worse for me...Does it become more sharp, searing feeling when you are pooping? Whenever this happens to me, the pain gets worse when I have a bowel movement, especially if I sit down and pass it very fast. Does that make sense?
Also, I myself have still not figured it out what it is but when I do get this, it stays for about 3 days.

Could be your sigmoid. Last bit before your rectum. Thats where my stricure was, and fistula, and eventualy perforation.

If its inflamed it will surely be giving you some pain!

Hope you feel better soon!

I also have lower left quadrant pain. Actually, almost all my pain is relegated to the left side of my body (as opposed to the right, which is more common). My scopes have indicated narrowing in the small intestine and ulcerations in my colon. I believe it is the colon ulceration causing the pain. However, my GI posits that it can also be "referred pain" or pain that occurs in one area but the actual affected area is elsewhere.

I've had right side pain for about a year now, but just a few days ago I started occasionally getting a lower left pain. So far I have not been able to associate it with anything in particular. (and I guess it is unlikely that I will since the year old right pain is still a mystery!). Good luck in figuring it out!

Hey everyone, thank you for replying so fast! It actually went away, so I'm thinking it was just referred pain, or I'm hoping so! I do feel better today, but I have one more day on this "fat diet" and then I'll be happy lol. It's weird when your doctor tells you to only eat fat. Kinda weird, but gotta do what I gotta do to help him find out more knowledge about my small intestine! Again, thank you all for replying! :)
