Lump in rectum help!

Hi
It's not good I had probs with my rectum these last few days now I have got a huge lump in it it hurts can't sit properly I dread to think what I will be like after they remove it if hurts now. It will absolutely kill me! Anybody had this before and what did you do and how long did it take before it went away?! Thanks any advice will be appreciated x

I've had lumps and bumps round my bum for years and it's bloody annoying! Hopefully it'll settle down soon.

Sounds like you are flaring in there. Have they given you any suppositories to help? They aren't fun, but they help. They have mesasalizine ones for instance.

You could also try a sitz bath with epson salt? Or just warm water.

Hi bigtruck it is huge feels like one big one sorry to be so graphic. It is annoying and painful to say least.
Terriernut, no I haven't got anything for it if you don't mind me asking do they put them up your bum? lol sorry to be so graphic again. Never had them before and I hope I feel better soon. Just want it to go. Thanks to you both never tried a salt bath where do you get them from? thanks a lot really helpful x

Yes, you have to put them in your bum. Sorry.

Epson salts can be found in any grocery store. Usually in the health and beauty aid section. Ask a member of staff, and they can usually point you in the right direction. They are very good to use for all sorts of issues. Fistulas, abcesses, etc. Not a cure, but a help.

Sorry, that is a prescription. Most likely your GI or IBD nurse will be the only ones to help you there. Sometimes our GP's can, you could try.
