Does anyone know anything about the tropical juice "mangosteen"???
Hear people are having great results...i am drinking it now and have no
cramping - have had Crohn's for 30 years.

A member here named Cara Fusinato swears by it. I just looked her up, and she is on page 46 or so of the member list. I tried to click on her mangosteen post but it wouldn't come up. Maybe you could send a private message to her, I'm sure she'd be happy to tell you about her experience.

Is there any reason you've spammed this across multiple boards?

It may work, it may not. Call me a cynic though as I think this sounds like advertising again.

-- Edit --

A quick google for Magosteen and fibre finds this

Mangosteen: Is made up of fibre pushing waste through the colon more rapidly, preventing constipation and possibly colon cancer. fibre can also keep cholesterol in check by removing harmful bile acids.

Fibre can be incredibly detrimental for certain people with Crohn's (my self included). I don't enjoy intestinal obstructions and surgery thanks.

Kay - if you're not here to promote Mangasteen, then i apologise for the welcome you've had so far. but, as Pen pointed out, we're a bit jumpy about new people joining and appearing to promote one product, rather than share their stories and show interest in becoming part of our forum. so - again, my apologies. and it really would be a good fresh start if you posted in the intro thread, and let us get to know you.

Kay DID already post a short story about herself when she signed up back in the month of MAY. I think we have just scared her away.
It's possible that she just isn't as comfortable with computers as others, and was anxious for a reply, so she reposted. My Aunt, for example, send emails to individuals over and over rather than to a group of people. Maybe Kay just doesn't quite get it, computer wise, but I feel bad that she was treated poorly.
Now, as for treating the real spammers poorly, well that's just a good time! But for Kay, I don't have enough evidence to yell at her just yet.
Cara - come back and tell us about Mangosteen juice!
(She hasn't posted since about April I think. Maybe the Mangosteen put her in such a good remission she'll never be back. Ha.)
This is an excerpt from an article from Mayo-
A number of laboratory and animal studies suggest that mangosteen has significant anti-inflammatory effects. Unfortunately, at this time, there have been no human studies to determine if these anti-inflammatory effects will be helpful to people with arthritis or other inflammatory conditions.

I might just try it myself one day.

I tried Mangosteen juice. Really didn't see much effect, but it cost so much that I couldn't give it much of a chance. Yeah, it's supposed to help with a lot of stuff. One of the biggest antioxidant fruits around. Bunch of other benefits too from the juice. The fiber thing is for the fruit itself, not the juice. It looks much like a white orange inside, which is where the fiber info would come from. If I had the money to try it on a regular basis I'd most likely give it more of a shot if for nothing more than the antioxidant boost it gives.

Thank you everyone. This forum is all new to me to learn. Yes, I am for real. I have had Crohn's for 30 years and my daughter now for 3 years. She is getting married in Nov. and will start a family soon I hope. I just worry about her getting pregnant with Crohn's - medication. etc. I thought maybe the Mangosteen would be a healthy way to go. Yes, It is very expensive...but I am at the point in my life....i will pay anything if it helps.
We go to C levleand Clinic today and I am going to ask there what they think.
Thanks again for helping.....We have been on almost every drug and Humira scares me for my daughter... she has had hair loss, headaches, and gets every bug that comes along...

My doctor recommended Humira to me. I did some research and turned it down. I'm about to update my story in a bit... You may want to check it out if your looking for a natural healing route, Kay... including mangosteen.
