Santos: I haven't had any alcohol since my surgery or being diagnosed, so I don't know. However, I used to drink occasionally before I had any idea I had Crohns and it never affected me.

i drink but never alone and probably more than i should. that said, beer wreaks havoc on me so i just stick to wine and the hard stuff

I can't believe this story I've been a nurse for thirty years and they are not being truthful with your if they say it happens all the time. And by the way your intestines did bust you said you had a hole in your bowel and they did find feces in your abdominal wall. You are so lucky b/c in the patients I have seen this in
or when a surgeon accidentally pokes a whole in your bowel (which they don't usually tell you) it is REALLY bad and the patients are lucky if they live or wind up
in the hospital for months. I am sooo sorry you found out you had Crohns disease
this way but is there a good way to find out you have Crohns. Welcome to the forum.
