Hi im new to this forum and my daughter has ibd but the doctor hasn't diagnosed which type yet. So my daughter is very fussy and at the moment only eats rice, chicken, potato waffles and mash. I am a bit worried about her because she is thin i really need some ideas on what ibd friendly meals i can cook her. She cant have onion, garlic, mustard and dairy so it quite hard. She dosent have cealiac disease but we try and limit gluten and eat gluten free chicken nuggets and pasta. She also has almond milk as oat milk gave her wind and gas. She is also has animia but hates all veg and will only eat two carrots and she cant have much fruit because it goes straight through her. Greasy, fatty and oily food cause her agony and somthimes she might even throw up.

Kids boost or pediasure supplemental nutrition help kiddos gain weight
There is also kids orgain , peptamen Jr , peptide
And bright beginnings which is soy based

Agree with above. My son is an adult now but was/is a picky eater. He started off with exclusive enteral nutrition formula at diagnosis (as his treatment to induce remission) and has continued for 5 years drinking shakes as a supplement. It's provided him with nutrition and lessened my worries about his diet when he's away at school.

There is also something called Benecalorie that you can add to foods. We've never tried it here, but I believe DanceMom as. If I recall, her daughter didn't care for it much.

Duocal is another option. It's a powder that can be added to food and is pretty tasteless.

Ya, we tried it but my daughter was always able to detect it in food. It was very oily and had a distinct taste.

We tried Duocal, but it was too sweet.

Soup stocks hold a lot of nutrition and hide veggies. My daughter sounds a lot like yours. Interestingly she does like beets - go figure. She eats a lot of GF Mac and cheese (is there a dairy free option or perhaps spaghetti sauce homemade without garlic?). She likes dark chocolate ensure sometimes. She eats bananas and peanut butter mushed together. She eats most meats but not white chicken meat. Has your daughter tried fish? How about squash soup? I know it takes an unusual palette, but my daughter will eat it over other things and it does have chicken stock made with hidden veggies. My daughter likes Asian rice noodles, and that can be put in a chicken stock with the veggies strained out.

Let me know what else works for your daughter if you find things.

There are tuns of vegan sites now, which makes it easy to avoid dairy. I adore vegweb and on youtube the vegan corner. :)

Have you been able to find some yummy snack ideas since posting this?
My Grace is also very hard to keep up with calories.
She now can take formula that taste better but she's outgrown her allergies.
