For those of you who have "failed" a medication, when/how did you know it was not working? I have tapered off of prednisone, and since that time had more bowel symptoms associated with my Crohn's, but I wonder if my medication has not had long enough to work, as most say Imuran takes 6-8 weeks to work at its fullest and Humira can take up to 3 months or more to work to its fullest (I have been on Humira since October and only on Imuran for a month and half and was feeling good with this combination when I was on prednisone and felt close to remission.) My doctor wants to do another colonoscopy to check on the inflammation, and says if I still have inflammation it may be due to the current medication not working. Does anyone feel like it is too soon to know that I am not benefiting from the medication I am taking?
