Hello enumeras,
I'm glad to hear you're doing better on the MMJ. If I understand correctly, you're saying you're perceiving a drop in efficacy with vaporizing over smoking.
What type of vaporizer is it?
Not all vapes are created equal. There is some waste when vaping over combusting, so it's possible the daily dose of cannabinoids you're currently delivering is smaller than what you would inhale when you smoked.
To get the most out of your vape, you should:
-grind the flower as fine as possible to increase surface contact
-Use the proper temperature settings, somewhere around 200F is a good place to start. Your vape might not have digital thermostats, but you can judge the temp by looking at the vapor. The optimal vapor, as produced by my Sublimator, is slightly thick with a hint of golden hue. It could almost pass for smoke, except when I am done the herbs are a dark brown (not black, which is a sign you're going too high).
Depending on the bowl size of your vaporizer, you might need to take 2 or 3 hits to achieve the same cannabinoid dosage. However, you can easily pack 1g in a joint, whereas my Sublimator hits are 0.1g. So even 3 hits will only consume 0.3g whereas a whole joint is awful for my health + it wastes a lot of precious and expensive herb.
That being said, vaporization is not the best delivery method for a long-term daily treatment, ingestion is. Cannaoil or tinctures will offer you the best chance for long term remission.
I hope this helps. If you have more questions don't hesitate to ask.
