Miralax every day? Anyone?

Does anyone take miralax every day to help regulate?

Typically, I may go to the bathroom once a day, or sometimes go 4 days without going to the bathroom.

My doctor told me to take a capful of miralax with a cold liquid every morning. I'm considering, but will this make me have to urgently use the restroom? Is this safe to use every day? Any side effects?

Ds has been on daily Miralax for about 4 years
It's an osmotic not a laxative
So it pulls more water into the stool so it keeps things moving
We use a kitchen gram scale to measure it
17 g per capful
It takes three days to take effect and any change you make with lowering or increasing the dose takes three days to see
Don't change sooner than that otherwise you will go in circles
