My son has the flu and is unable to get his remicade. Does anyone know what things I should look for as he will be getting it 1 to 2 weeks late.

If he is in remission I doubt there will be any difference tbh. Otherwise there could be the usual signs of crohns coming back, but it shouldn't be too severe.

I've had to knck mine back a week or two a few times (I'm on 6 weekly) and apart from a bit of bloating it didnt particularly affect me, and was all back to normal after the next dose

Agreed. If he had been in remission for a while then you may not notice any difference.

Did you discuss with the GI what you may look for with having to put off remicade? Any symptoms out of the ordinary during that time may warrant a quick call to the GI nurse. Since he has the flu a more liquid diet might be of help.

Hope all goes well.

Yeah the gi nurse didn't say anything about the gi saying to watch for signs. They just said to take the antibiotics and wait on the Remicade to make sure he is fully over the flu. Thank you. That relieves a little of worry knowing that others have had to wait and didn't gave a flare up. He gets it every 8 weeks and this is the first time he won't have it more than a day late.
