I'm so frustrated. My doc's office has not been following my doc's instructions regarding my theraputic INR levels and now I have more blood clots. I'm in so much pain and discomfort. How do I address this with the doc w/out sounding like I'm attacking her? My doc was not in the office at the time of the INR mismanagement over a two week period.

So do you mean that your doctor left instructions whilst she was away and they were not followed?

If so then raising the issue should not be misconstrued as an attack on her as she has done nothing wrong. I would say…

"I find broaching this awkward as I don’t wish for you to think that is a criticism of you as that is not the case. Whilst you were away the instructions you gave to the staff were not followed and as a result I am now in significant pain and discomfort. Again, I know this is not your fault but can you please explain to the staff the importance of following your instructions and the implications for others when they don’t.”

I hope you are soon feeling better Naturelover. :ghug:

Wow! It's been a while since I've been to the forum. So much has happened that my head is spinning. I got yet another blood clot over the Christmas holidays of 2014 and am still suffering from it. It hasn't been absorbed by my body yet. In fact, it got worse while my INR was at 4.0!
