mornings are worst

I don't know about you but the mornings are the worst for me well into the afternoon. I just can't stop going to the bathroom and even after I go I still feel like there is much more than hasn't come out. It creates irritation, annoyance, burning, and hemorrhoids. I don't know what to do about this, I am fine later in the day but the 8-3pm "shift" sucks. I think I might try soluble fiber with lots of water before bed and see if that helps brush my system for the morning.

I think i've heard from many people that the morning time seems to be the worst time for them. I don't have any solutions for you, although have you tried Calmoseptine for your backside? It's a great, soothing cream, you can get it over the counter at some pharmacies, or order it online.

I'm having some bad symptoms at the moment, cramps, spectacular BMs (or none at all some days???) and feeling generally cr*p. But it's all much worse in the mornings. I wonder if it's to do with the length of time since I last ate. I'm eating little and often and usually sludgy foods, but maybe it's all lodged in the crohns-zone by the morning

Me too Agent... by 5pm it starts, bubbling and gassy, bloat, and the gurgling never stops, right through to morning and a few hours later. I have tried GAS X and it does help. I havent taken Imodium in months but just started to one in the morning just to cope. I have a CT scan coming on the 8th. My scope didnt reveal any more ulcers, but at least no narrowing..

I am NOT a morning person either....I do take Welchol, at night and if definitely helps reduce the urgency.

Mornings are the worst for me. I will go all morning long and then by afternoon, my stools become very, very skinny (which I could never really understand) and then I will stop. Then I may not go for a day or two and then it starts over with frequent morning BMs (loose stools and urgency) tapering off in the afternoon and then nothing again for a day or two. This is a new pattern for me with this flare. In the past I was going morning, noon and all night long.

Mornigns are worst for me as well, I wake up head to the bathroom, and probably head back 4 or 5 times more before leaving the house, but them I am only maybe 2 or 3 more times till dinner. Im guessing just all the acumulated stuff from the nite, I just wish It would all come out in one sitting instead of coming back every 5 minutes!

I'd say for the majority it's mornings that are the worst, seems to be the nature of the beast.

:)

Hmmmm, that is interesting because so far, if I have any issues it's always in the evenings! I guess that's a good thing as I'm not pooping all morning when I need to get out of the house, but it's no fun when you want to get to bed and it keeps you up for ages! :(

In addition to going several times in the morning I feel like I have junk lodged in me that needs to be squeezed out. I feel like a sea sponge that has collected crap and there is no way for me to squish it and get rid of it.

That "feeling" would be tenesmus, the "urge" to "go" but nothing comes out, that can happen with IBS and with IBD, when it happens with IBD it's usually an indication the there is rectal involvement and then rectal meds would be in order.

What do you mean rectal involvement? Isn't the whole process of pooping a rectal involvement lol?

Mornings were always the worst when I was flaring too.

Rectal involvement would mean that there is active Crohn's disease in the rectum. It can take hold anywhere from the mouth to anus (at least that was what I was always told).
