Hi :)
I had mouth ulcers a long time before i was diagnosed and was told it was something to do with my anemia and lack of iron, i am now taking furrous gluconate and this helped!. Hope this is of some use to you.

hi honeybeast.thanks this may be of interest to me as im low on iron and been taking ferrous fummerate but they are horrible tablets, make my insides stink more than normal...like an oil change
i will look into the iron difficiancy more.thanks again

I used to always get lots of mouth ulcers and they would be on of the first things to show before a bad flare up. usually once my flare was controlled the ulcers would go away

Mouth ulcers are a consistent feature of my active CD.
I've tried everything to get them under control.
The only thing that really works for me - is getting the disease under control.
I also have neutropenia - so that also contributes to them.
Urgh! I'm thrilled when I can eat, swallow and speak!!
