We bought this fantastic new house a few weeks ago. My 15 year old twin boys and I married my husband in Maui Dec. That was before I was DX.... Had symptoms but not this bad. Back to my bi$!@h for the day. I have yet to enjoy our home at all, I'm so sick. We have a sound proof music room boys play drums and guitar. A nice view of Lake Washinton. I've been either in the hospital or bed. Today we are trying to go through boxes and put stuff away. I'm trying to look strong , but it's all poker face. I sneak off to either throw up or D. This throwing up thing is new. I just want one freakin normal day!

Keep your head up Laura. You are my inspiration. You have 2 stapping boys, can they help out more? I know since my dx, my poor 15 y.o. has been playing mother to my youngest and helping out my oldest who is disabled. Ugh....i hate this. Feel like a let down BUT we are only human hun, not SUPERhuman unfortunately. Stay strong! Good luck in your new house. Hope it gets better.

When we (my siblings and I) were younger my mom suffered from Chronic and debilitating migraines. We needed to bring her pills, stay quiet and help her with anything she needed.
When she was sick we had "choose your own" dinner nights.

We were talking about it recently and she was very suprised to find out when we remembered Choose your own nights we did not think of a sick and demanding Mommy - but of the fun we had looking through cupboards and having the freedom to make our own dinners, when every other night we had to eat what was made.

We turned a bad time for her into a good memory for us.

When we are sick, we often believe we are bringing others down when we ask for help when really those around us want to help make things easier.

No need to be strong here sister! We're here for you in any way we can be.

I agree that maybe you could ask for more help. Rather than being secretive about how bad you're doing maybe try opening up a bit and allow them to help you be it your boys or your husband. You're family now and family means everything so do your best by taking care of yourself so you'll be able to take care of them in turn when you're able. I'm hoping that you're seeing someone for the vomiting and diarrhea to try and get your illness under control. That's the most important thing you can do for yourself right now.
