Well the MRI came back normal which is good but recently I have been getting a lot of pain in the right hand side of my abdomen what would this mean?? should I ring him on Monday and let him know or should I wait until my next appointment come through?? I'm just a little confused as to why I'm getting pain but MRI came back normal . Any suggestions Thanks :)

Sometimes the tests we have don't tell the whole story.
Be on the safe side and call your doctor like you have said.
Pain requires attention and together with your history it could be a mistake to ignore it.
Call your doctor.
Feel better soon
Hugs and best wishes

My doctor seems to think that it's just about my small bowel because all he does is send for tests on my small bowel and doesn't even think about my large bowel :(, is it possible that it has spread??

Hi Horselover

I second what Trysha says. Speak to your doctor or IBD Helpline on Monday. They always say don't put up with pain. As to what a right side pain could signify - there could be a number of causes but it would just be guessing and could get you worrying unnecessarily. Let your doctor give you his opinion with the benefit of knowing your medical history.

BTW - MRI scans can give odd results. I had exactly the opposite. MRI scanned showed active inflammation so I got scoped and there was absolutely nothing.

Thanks highlandsrock :) Yeah they can give odd results alright :ybatty: I'm think I'm definitely going to call on Monday :) as I'm going a bit funny :(

is your pain happen on and off? or is it a one time thing? I've in your situation too, did a colonoscopy a few weeks ago and everything seem to be normal, but once in a while I get abdominal pain. I think it could be certain food I ate that trigger the symptom. When I'm flaring I usually eat light meals like soups, etc. and it gets better the next day. But if it's an ongoing pain you should ring up your GI :)
