Hey everyone,

I just wanted to say, after being inspired by several members of this forum, I have started my own blog :D

http://greenturtle.blog.com/

It's mainly about my journey with Crohn's Disease, but it's also about life in general, so feel free to check it out if you like your hospitals with humour.

Happy reading guys!

Hannah

Very impressive writing Hannah :)
I did read it backwards, but that's ok, I'm kind of a "blonde" like that ! LOL
Thank you for sharing your story, and I hope the Remicade continues to have great success for you!

Hannah, I just read through your blog and I enjoyed reading it. :) I wish you tons of luck tomorrow! I'm always happy to greet new members of the Undiagnosed Club, but I'd be more than happy to kick you out! Ha ha. You can remain an honorary member of the Club if you'd like, but I really hope you get some solid answers tomorrow so you can enter the land of the diagnosed. Fingers crossed for you!

And with regards to the time difference, I'm in the central US time zone and it's 4:40 PM here now, so it looks like you're 6 hours ahead of here.

Wow...what a story...am so glad I read it! You're a true fighter and I'm keeping everything crossed that you get a diagnosis tomorrow!
I know what you mean about colonoscopys / sigmoidoscopys etc and like you I never ever want to experience them again!
I've only been diagnosed / ill for a year but if I am as upbeat as you in 15 years time I'll be a happy girl :) x

omg Hannah! It amazes me the kinds of things people on here go through. I have learned about so many different types of Crohn's since joining the forum and your story has shown me a whole new side I hardly ever knew about it. I can't imagine what you have been through. I'm SO glad you are healing with infliximab!!!
I hope you get that diagnosis and keep feeling better. yay!!

Thanks guys :) I've been wanting to blog for a while, it's really therapeutic and I enjoy writing anyway, at the moment it's mostly about being ill but I'm hoping to include some more positive aspects of my life soon!

Just had a consultation tonight so will be updating now :D

Hannah I'm so glad the infliximab is working for you! I find my blog helps me remember what happened when and allows me to put my thoughts in order. I hope your consultation tonight gives you some new insight.

I'll be checking out your blog Linda :) I hope you're appointment goes well at the mayo clinic.

As a Brit I'm not familiar with the mayo clinic, is it a specialist medical centre for Crohn's?

I'm finding my blog a very useful way of documenting my medical journey too because it spans eighteen months now and some of the details are becoming a little hazy.

I also think that if I met someone new, say, a friend who became a close friend, or a guy who became a boyfriend, a really great way of them understanding what I'd been through would be to read my blog. Obviously telling people how you feel is the best way to communicate but if I say, met someone in a years time, it might be hard to talk exactly about everything that had happened, plus for me the story is really embarrassing, and so I find it helpful to have everything in one place in case I need to tell my story again.
