Every time I eat something it doesn't matter what it is it just hurts afterward and swallowing is getting harder to do as well :( luckily I'm seeing the dietician again on Thursday so I can tell her, but does anyone know what could be happening or what could be causing this to happen??
Is there anything I should ask her when I do see her??

Acid reflux/indigestion, hiateal hernia, and believe it or not a really common reason ANXIETY!!! Lol seriously it can cause ur throat to restrict and cause a globus affect

Not sure. But, I would mention this to her. She could have some ideas of what you can have. I would also keep my doctors updated on this too. Just in case there's something else going on.

Thanks Cross-stitch gal, I will definitely mention it to her in the hope that she says something to my gastro like she did last time :) because every time I talk to him about it he looks like he's not listening:( to me and sends me on my way like I'm wasting his time :ymad:, which is why I am so glad to have a dietician because she actually listens too me :)

Hi,
when you say swallowing, do mean at the throat? I have terrible problems after swallowing, the food gets stuck further down, which gets really painful, sometimes I have to make myself sick to get the food out, as water just sits on top and then comes back out of my mouth. I have been told I have Esophagusitis Grade 2. Grade 3 being the worse, I take medication for this but it does not help. I am going back to the hospital soon to see if they can get on top of it. Having an Endoscopy will tell you.

I do mean at the throat it gets stuck there for a couple of hours sometimes for a day or two when the food eventually makes it way down it hurts as its going down :( I'm having a barium swallow done on the 18th of this month hopefully they can get some answers from that.

Wow! A couple of days! I really think you should be asking for an Endoscopy. I have had a barium swallow, however they concentrated on what that was doing in my bowels, not what was going on with my throat and the Esophagus.

Either way I really hope you get some relief from this soon.

Yeah I mentioned about having an endoscopy to my doctor and he seems to think it's not necessary and that the barium swallow will hopefully show him what's going on :ybatty:

That should show whats going on wouldn't surprise me if they say u have a hiatel hernia(spelling) those are troublesome
